Travelling on the A2 motorway to Utrecht
- Take exit 8 ‘Centrum’
- At the end of the exit, at the traffic lights, follow ‘Centrum’
- At the roundabout, go straight ahead and continue to follow ‘Centrum’
- Go past the Exhibition Centre
- Pass underneath the railway viaduct, turn right, to ‘Centrum’
- Keep driving in the right-hand lane, to ‘Station’ Drive along the top on Daalsesingel (changes into Catharijnesingel), a parallel road runs underneath. As soon as these two roads meet up, turn left at the first opportunity (at the traffic lights), to the ‘Museumkwartier’
- Across the bridge, straight left into Geertebolwerk (dead-end), make sure not to drive onto the cycle lane (looks like the first turn on the left)
- At the end of Geertebolwerk you can see Grand Hotel Karel V on your right
Travelling on the A28 motorway to Utrecht (from A27, follow the A28 motorway to Rijnsweerd)
- Follow the signs ‘Centrum’ (A28)
- At the end of the A28 motorway, turn left at the traffic lights
- Take the first exit ‘Stadion’
- At the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic lights to ‘Centrum’
- Continue on this road until you reach the T-junction, turn left here to ‘Centrum-West’
- Follow the signs ‘Doorgaand verkeer’
- At the traffic lights, turn right to ‘Centrum-west/Maarssen’ you are now on Catharijnesingel
- At the first opportunity, turn right at the traffic lights to the ‘Museumkwartier’
- Across the bridge, straight left into Geertebolwerk (dead-end), make sure you do not accidentally drive onto the cycle lane (looks like the first turn on the left)
- At the end of Geertebolwerk you can see Grand Hotel Karel V on your right
Travelling on the A12 motorway to Utrecht
- Follow the signs ‘Jaarbeurs Zuid’
- Take exit 17 ‘Kanaleneiland’
- At the end of the exit, at the traffic lights, follow ‘Kanaleneiland’
- Follow the signs ‘Jaarbeurs’
- At the first roundabout, turn right, to ‘Hoograven/Lunetten’
- Before the second bridge (yellow/blue railing), turn left onto Jutfaseweg
- Continue on this road and turn left at the second set of traffic lights
- Then straight right, underneath the railway viaduct, to ‘Centrum’
- At the second set of traffic lights, turn left, you are now on Catharijnesingel
- At the first opportunity, turn right at the traffic lights to the ‘Museumkwartier’
- Across the bridge, straight left into Geertebolwerk (dead-end), make sure you do not accidentally drive onto the cycle lane (looks like the first turn on the left)
- At the end of Geertebolwerk you can see Grand Hotel Karel V on your right
