Use of our monumental garden for parking facilities is subject to statutory restrictions. Grand Hotel Karel V has a parking permit for a maximum of 80 parking spaces. These are only available for overnight guests and guests of Grand Restaurant Karel V. However, there are not enough parking spaces to cater for the total required capacity. Therefore, we provide no guarantee that a parking space will be available. Our guests are obliged to follow up the parking advice given by the porters.

There are four public car parks within 100 and 350 metres; discount vouchers for parking are available from reception. Grand Hotel Karel V is located within 7 minutes walking distance of the central railway station.
The municipality of Utrecht has enforced a policy aimed at reducing the use of private passenger cars in the city centre. Grand Hotel Karel V is bound by contract to make strenuous efforts to refer visitors of the conference halls and guests of Brasserie Goeie Louisa to the public car parks. These guests are not allowed to park within the hotel grounds.
