We would like to assure you that there is a great deal of space in our monumental hotel and garden. We have taken extra precautions to create a safe environment so that the health and security of our visitors is assured.
Nevertheless, after September 25th we are legally required to ask for a valid proof of vaccination, a negative test result, or proof of recovery. If you wish to visit our bistro or restaurant for lunch or dinner, you will be asked to provide a permit containing one of the above-mentioned documents in the form of a QR-code. In case said permit cannot be provided, we will serve you at our terrace or in your hotel room instead.
A valid permit contains a QR-code which upon scanning provides proof of vaccination, proof of a negative test result less than 24 hours old, or proof of recovery less than 6 months ago.

Our hotel is open to all hotel guests and visitors who wish to make use of our restaurant, bistro, bar, or lounge. As a hotel guest, you do not need to provide a permit when checking in. However, you do need to provide one if you wish to enjoy our restaurant, bar, or lounge. Our employees are always available to help you or address any concerns you may have.
Our common areas and places of contact are disinfected several times per day, and guests should feel free to use the hand sanitizer stationed around our hotel.
To maximize the safety of our guests, you must make a reservation to access the wellness and fitness facilities. Each reservation is one hour long and a limited number of people are allowed access during each time slot. Guests are not required to have a permit to access the wellness or fitness facilities.
We are happy to receive you for lunch or dinner at Bistro Karel 5, or for dinner at Restaurant Karel 5. You are welcome to enjoy our bar and lounge as well. However, we are required to ask our guests and visitors for a valid permit containing proof of vaccination, a negative test result, or proof of recovery if they wish to make use of these locations.

Meetings & events:
Social distancing is no longer enforced in the Netherlands. Instead we are required to ask for a valid permit upon entry to allow visitors access to our parlours and event halls. Both digital and printed permits will be accepted.
