GRAVIN VAN MEURS ROOM
Countess Johanna van Meurs was one of Charles V’s first long-stay guests. We honoured her presence in the Gravin van Meurs Room – a cosy meeting room in the Farmhouse on our courtyard. Van Meurs was married to Count Frederik van Meurs’ son Jacob. His father had been a knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece since 1431. Not much is known about the life of Johanna van Meurs.
