OFFICER'S GARDEN
The Officer's Garden is a green oasis, perfect for get-togethers, dinners and exhibitions. This peaceful outdoor space can accommodate 100 people for drinks and between 50 and 100 for dinner. The atmospheric garden provides a unique and relaxed ambience in the middle of the city.
A church dating from 1348 once stood here, which was destroyed by a storm in 1674. During the time of the Military Hospital (1823-1989), the garden was exclusively open to officers, which explains the name “Officers” Garden'. Upon the departure of grateful Japanese students, special trees were donated, including an impressive Japanese walnut tree (Ginkgo Biloba) and an Oriental plane tree more than three centuries old.
